This clean, sharply defined conical fireplace hood was built to cover a large outdoor grill. The simple cone shape is a powerful, almost modern design element. The welded copper top ring and standing seam construction provide visual interest. We were able to build this hood with single wall construction because it was located a safe distance from wood and other combustible construction. Double wall construction is available as an option. The exterior is made from smooth 48 oz. copper and finished with our medium antique patina.

The bottom band of this fireplace hood gives the design a more substantial feel than the unbanded version. The standing seams and top ring provide interest. The double wall structural stack is built with a heavy steel inner duct to provide the strength needed to support this island configuration. The exterior of both the stack and the hood are 16 gauge copper, finished with our medium antique patina.
