Drop-In Mount Sink Information

Drop-in mount sinks are designed such that the outer flanges rest on top of the counter after installation.  These sinks normally "drop in" a hole cut in the counter top.  These sinks are built using pure copper, and we recommend that the hole in the counter be cut as close a possible to the size of the sink basins due to the soft character of the metal.  The sinks are stiff and self supporting, but we also recommend 2x4 structural support under the corners of the basins to take the weight in the event the sink is subjected to an abnormally heavy load, such as a very heavy person attempting to stand in the sink.

As with all of our sinks, premium finishes, hammered textures, and antiqued or color changes are available.  Wax, and polyurethane sealer coatings are also available.

The sink on the left is an unusual combination of hammered apron and bullnose, with jitterbug finish on the sink interior.  The sink on the right has a hammered top deck, with #3 micrograin finish on the sink interiors.
