Meet the The Handcrafted Metal Family!

· Meet The Family
· Pam's Flowers

When we surf around on the internet, we always enjoy seeing family enterprises. It gives us a glimpse of who the real people are behind the company name and who we are really buying from. We thought you might appreciate the same from us, so here is a little about the Bentz family. The ski photos were taken during a trip to Winterpark, Colorado — one our favorite vacation spots!

David Bentz
Ever faithful husband to Pam and Dad to boys. Master metal fabricator — responsible for all designs and metal fabrication. Started putting stainless steel in home kitchens before it was cool! Metal fabrication lead designer since 1987.

Pam and David

Alan Bentz
Very good press brake operator — and can be talked into assisting with field installs. Talented singer in the school choir. Avid reader and writer — Joined the Ready-Writer's club this year. Driving now — heaven help us!

Our OLD Shop Dog - Charlie
A pembrook corgi - gone but not forgotten. Stolen right out of our parking lot!  We couldn't believe it. We left him unattended for 15 minutes, and poof! Vanished.

We argued about getting another dog, but Darren won. So now we have a NEW shop dog — see right!

Pam Bentz
Runs the office, answers the phones, Mom to all the sons, dogs (and maybe some of the employees, too!), and lifelong partner to David. Looking a little harried here! In the office, on the phone, always there.

Erik Bentz
Answers phones and handles email and contracts, other times does whatever is needed! Insisted on getting credit for digging Pam's flower beds!

Darren Bentz
Doing his thang! He calls this maneuver a "nosegrab." If you look closely, you can see his invention — chains to hold your feet on the skateboard. Makes skateboarding 10 times the fun! All that, and made straight "A's" and first honor roll — Again! He answers phones occasionally.

Our NEW Shop Dog - Grady

7 weeks old. We decided to get a Shelty because we had one before that was really great. From the looks of things, he's going to be a winner!

Grady - 22 weeks old

And, last but not least is the dedicated staff of Handcrafted Metal. We're standing in front of a really big vent hood right before we shipped it out.
